v6 — Floppy
The same metamorphosis scene, but the dog's namesake now flops around like the Floppy Tool screwdriver. The 16-node chain is driven by Verlet integration with position-based-dynamics distance constraints, so the segments stay rigid in length and the whole thing whips and jiggles instead of stretching like the v5 slinky — and it's a touch shorter, too. Grab it, shake it, and fling it on release.

v5 — Slinky
The v4 metamorphosis scene, but the dog's namesake was a draggable slinky. A 16-node spring chain hung from the belly under gravity, bunching when slack and separating into coils when pulled — grab it, fling it, and watch it spring back with wobbly recoil.

v4 — Metamorphosis
The v3 dachshund, untouched and intact, set at the edge of a still pond while the whole world metamorphoses through four moods — Golden Hour, Aurora Night, Blossom Dawn and Ember Dusk. Sky, light, drifting particles and the dog's own coat all morph together, and the pup is mirrored in the rippling water below.

v3 — Sunset Dachshund
Rebuilt from scratch: correct analytic ellipse SDF, soft volumetric lighting, layered fur, glossy eyes and a wagging tail. The proper, working glow-up render that v4 builds upon.

The "broken af" build. A crude ellipse SDF approximation distorted every rounded shape, collapsing the dog's proportions.
